England call on Jonathan for SA

FORMER Rydings Special School student Jonathan Simpson has been chosen for the England and Wales Cricket Board's first-ever team of players with learning difficulties which will be going to South Africa next month.
Jonathan is part of the 14-man squad which will take on South Africa and Australia in the inaugural tri-nations tournament in Western Cape Province between 10 and 20 November.
A series of one-day matches will be played on some of the province's famous grounds, culminating in a final at Boland Park.
Jonathan (22) plays as an all-rounder for Lancashire in the ECB Disabilities County Championship.
England's tour manager will be Peter Edmondson of Littleborough. He has just stood down as the Lancashire coach.
