Mustangs draw thriller

MAYFIELD Mustangs under nines were quickly out of the blocks against Clock Face, with Callum Ogden, Ben Ratu and Nathan Coop driving them forward.

Daley Schofield opened his account from a well-worked set piece which saw Declan Sheridan swivel from dummy-half to send him crashing over the line. Coop was next on the scoresheet when he sliced through the visitors' defence after good approach work by the forwards

Bradley Gartland produced some magic to sidestep his way through.

Mustangs had to dig deep on defence, with solid tackles by Ogden and Coop preventing the visitors from scoring. But Clock Face managed to cross wide out late in the first half.

The visitors opened the second half with more determination to score two quick tries.This woke Mustangs up and Kyle Irving dodged his way through for a fine try.

The visitors drew level before Schofield doubled his account with a carbon copy of his first try. Clock Face were not to be denied and they went over to clinch a draw.
