Neil aims for podium glory

NORDEN driver Neil Waterworth has completed another highly respectable touring car season, although success proved agonisingly elusive.
The 28-year-old finished eighth in the 2004 ELF Renault Clio Cup standings after a series of solid, but podium-less races.
The Team Griffin driver's best finish came in the final round of the season at Donnington Park when he finished fourth, half a second shy of third place.
"It was a disappointing year in many ways," said Waterworth. "We did see one or two highlights, but it was very frustrating not to get on the podium."
Other notable results for Waterworth, in his second full season of competition in the category, included fourth places in the eighth round at Oulton Park and round 17 at Snetterton.
He also bettered his ninth place finish in the final standings of last season.
"Hopefully I'll be running in the British GT Championships next year so it would have been nice to sign off my Clio Cup career with another podium finish."
