STUDENT of the month is a prestigious award at the Dojo and Doryoku Karate Club in Castlemere Street, and with 300 members to pick from it's difficult to win.
Selection is based on performance at the club and other outside activities, with the emphasis on behaviour, achievement in school and academic studies and attitude towards others.
Four hard-working youngsters now have one eye on the annual award after claiming the monthly prize. They are Amelia Linker, Megan Mitchell, Michael Bennett and Issmaeel Ansari.
