Kings of the Castle set marathon record

GOLFING nuts Nick Simpson and Danny Entwistle completed 184 holes of golf in one day to set a new record.
Simpson, the captain of Castle Hawk Golf Club, Castleton, and his playing partner drove off at 7.10am and ended their eight-hour marathon at 3.40pm when they had passed the former record total.
The dynamic duo are set to raise £1,000 for their efforts and a cheque for that amount will be handed to High Birch School at Castle Hawk's presentation night on 7 January.
