NORDEN'S final passage to the CLL title started on Saturday with a four-point win over Walsden at Woodhouse Lane.
Asif Mujtaba took five for 44 as Walsden totalled 153 for nine.
The danger man was Walsden pro Sean Marsh, but he was out to a good catch by Chris Shotton after scoring 35. Nick Barker chipped in with 31 before being stumped by Nick Brierley.
Norden knocked off the runs for the loss of only two wickets, with 17 overs to spare.
Paul Carroll scored 19, Mujtaba made 45, and Stu Fern hit an unbeaten 77.
Walsden used eight bowlers with little success.
- ROCHDALE'S only reward from their trip to Middleton was a consolation batting point.
Middleton pro Sajith Fernando blasted an unbeaten 129 as The Moonrakers totalled 215 for five.
Three of the wickets to fall went to Neil Avery whose 20 overs cost 78 runs. Sherwin Campbell had figures of two for 41.
Rochdale lost Ian Helliwell with only two scored, and Simon Brierley was out with the total on 60.
But Campbell (71) and Jon Henderson (55 not out) took the score to 132 before the pro was bowled by Tomlinson.
Henderson and Daz Cryer continued the charge, but Rochdale were left with too much to do after Cryer had been stumped for 23. Ayres and Butterworth went cheaply and the innings closed on 196 for six.
