HOPWOOD Hall College is offering young rugby league players the chance to combine full-time study with top level rugby league coaching.

This is the second year the programme, which starts in September, has been offered, and aspiring rugby players are invited to trials at the Middleton campus sports complex on Thursday 3 June, 2pm.

Hull KR star and head coach Matt Calland believes this is a superb opportunity. He said: "We are looking to build on last year's successful course which was our first."

"The lads have the chance to gain excellent BTEC qualifications while at the same time developing their rugby skills. It's a great way to learn and something I wish I could have done when I was their age."
