OLDHAM visit QPR with boss Andy Ritchie insisting: ''We have to stop the slide.''
The Latics have lost four in a row - and failed to score in three of them - and have slumped from top spot to tenth.
Ritchie said: ''These things happen and we certainly haven't become a bad side overnight.
''But we must get back to the way we were and when we do I am sure we will start scoring again.''
QPR were rated as pre-season favourites to bounce straight back into the first division but Ritchie added: ''They are not having the best of times so let's hope we can catch them out and come away with the points.''
Veteran John Sheridan will come in for injured midfielder Wayne Gill and striker Carlo Corazzin will take a late fitness test.
Last season: Different divisions.
Key opponent: Andy Thomson - the livewire striker has already hit double figures.
