Mayfield face tough test in York

ROCHDALE Mayfield travel to York today to take on a resurgent Heworth and they will need to be at their best to return with a win.

The squad is boosted by the return of Chris Hilton, Dave Harmer, Dave Chrimes and Leon Ashworth.

Players and supporters should meet for an 11am departure. The game kicks-off at 2pm.

• MAYFIELD NWC entertain second-placed Cadishead.

The locals were convincingly beaten Cadishead in the away fixture, but Cadishead are in a lull at the moment. Mayfield, on the other hand have improved steadily and will be looking for the two points.

Players meet at 12.30pm for a 2pm kick-off.

• MILNROW face a difficult journey to Widnes Ball this afternoon.

The teams are currently joint top of North-West Counties Division Three and both will be determined to clinch a win.

Milnrow beat Widnes in the first game of the season. It was their first defeat for 18 months, so the home team will be set on revenge.

Milnrow coach Kevin Lowe is eagerly looking forward to the clash. He said: "The hard games are coming thick and fast, but this is what we look forward to. It's important to test ourselves against the best."
