Spotland and Bricklayers win Alliance trophy finals

SPOTLAND Reform, have won the Rochdale Alliance League's Trippier Trophy final, at Whittle's Park.

They beat Kirkholt WMC, 5--2.

The Spotland scorers were Sykes, Hanratty, Whiteside, Buchanan, and Stokes.

Whittle's Park was also the venue for the E Lythgoe Memorial Cup final between Old Bricklayers and Waterside.

Conditions didn't help either team, but they both tried to play good football.

The match was decided by a goal from Tomlinson, in favour of Bricklayers.

O'Donovan was the star for Bricklayers, and Smith was best on view for Waterside.
