Dale friendly rained off

ROCHDALE'S friendly with Halifax Town was postponed after The Shay was swamped by monsoon conditions last night (Tuesday).

The pitch itself was said to be playable, but the conditions in the roads surrounding the ground and in walkways in the stadium made things unsafe and the match was called off.

It isn't yet known whether the fixture will be rearranged.
