Awards allow students to practise what they preach

EIGHT martial arts enthusiasts have received their karate instructor's awards.
The black belts, who train at the Doryoku Karate Club in Rochdale under tutor Irfan Ansari, gained their certificates from the English Karate Governing Body. And it was a reward for many hours of hard work.
"It was very intensive but all the participants were successful and were awarded certificates," said Irfan.
The successful candidates are now involved in teaching and they are also preparing to open their own clubs within the Greater Manchester area.
