Snow joke for Hollins in search of first win

Dale's festive campaign has been upset by the weather, with the pre-Chsirtmas game against York City and New Year's Day clash with Carlisle United being postponed.

This afternoon's game with Plymouth Argyle, which was postponed three times last season, also looked doubtful at the time of going to press.

But, should the game go ahead, Hollins was optimistic of getting something from the league leaders.

"We had a very good training session on Thursday so I've looked at everybody training and working in their positions. I'm knowing more and more about the players all the time and I'm very positive about things.

"I believe we've got a very good chance of pushing to get in the top three, and that's the only place to be because it gives everybody connected with the club a lift.

"It gives you a very good feeling about what you are doing and that's what we're aiming to get, the consistency of that feel good feeling."

And the Rochdale boss revealed his ambitions for the New Year.

"Getting games is one hope but, more importantly, winning games home and away. Going on a good run - and there's no reason why we shouldn't do that," he said.
