Gymnasts proved themselves to be no novices

In the under sixes, Symone Brady finished third on floor and fifth overall, while Zoe Carter was crowned the vault champion with a score of 9.35 and finished ninth overall.

The star of the show in the seven and eight year olds was Robyn Carter who made a clean sweep with three gold medals, on floor, vault, and overall.

Sara Baines and Shannon Brady were joint bronze medallists on floor, closely followed by Imogen Hartley-Brown in fourth place. Shannon Brady finished fourth overall.

In the nine and 10-year-old section, Nicole Casserley picked up gold on the floor and silver overall.

Jasmine Brady finished close behind in third place, with silver on the floor. Hannah Gooch earned the bronze medal on vault.

In the under 10's section Nicole Duffy earned bronze on the bars with a score of 5.9.

Claire Skeels took the gold and earned another gold medal on the beam which earned her second place overall.

The over 11's section saw a clean sweep on the floor for Rochdale.

Victoria Walsh and Abigail Towriss shared the gold medal. Angela Pilkington took silver and Elizabeth Hilton earned bronze.

Towriss was also crowned beam champion and finished second overall. Pilkington was overall champion, picking up the bronze medal on beam and the gold medal on the vault.

Leanne France won the silver medal on vault.
