New push for local Rugby League

On the committee are Ray Taylor (Rochdale Hornets), Peter Howard (amateur open age), Steve Prime (youth rugby), Carl Briggs (referees), Brendan Coleman (schools), Helen Cobb (women and girls), Peter Jackson (Rochdale Council), Andy Green (Rochdale Council), and Julia Lee (Rugby Football league).

Ray Taylor will be the chairman, Helen Cobb will be the co-ordinator, Brendan Coleman will be vice-chairman, and Andy Green will be treasurer.

One of the main objectives of the group will be to try and find funding for a full time co-ordinator.

Significant progress has been made, and the group hopes to be in a position to advertise the post within the next 12 months.
