But like Audley the Hornets can only play against the opponents who are put before them.

And like the fight the heavyweight visitors demolished their lightweight opposition with a 13-try romp which took them to a 66-10 victory.

Hornets to their credit gave the kind of display expected of a team vying for a top four spot.

Leading the way in an excellent team performance were hat trick heroes Paul Owen and Joe Berry.

Hornets opened their account on nine minutes and went further ahead through David Larder six minutes later.

Chorley put up some brave resistance but three tries in five minutes on the half hour without the home side touching the ball ended their slight hopes.

Hornets tries followed at regular intervals as Larder (2), Gartland (2), Danny Wood, Latham Tawhai, and Wayne McHugh added to the tally. Wood notched seven goals.
