A week of treble celebration

3/10/2008

Inside Spotland with Iain Johnstone in association with The Co-operative Group

THIS has been a week of celebrations, with my birthday, don’t ask, and Freedom of the Borough for the club.

Plus, today marks exactly one year since I was fortunate enough to secure a position at this special club.

I have enjoyed every minute of what has been a great year both on and off the park, and I look forward to the months and years ahead, and ultimately the Championship.

Dagenham and Redbridge are our visitors today and they have certainly started well this season.

They are likely to put up a strong defence, but by five o’clock this evening I am sure we will be back in the top seven.

Match Sponsors this afternoon are GP Telecom.

GP are the club’s communications providers and have been associated with us for several years.

Our thanks go to Mark Nicklin and his team for their support, and I look forward to welcoming them to Spotland this afternoon.

While every match has attracted an official sponsor this season there are still matchball and dining packages available for most matches.

Give me a call to discuss your requirements, and if you need something special, put me to the challenge.

Birthdays, anniversaries, or any other celebrations, why not combine them with a day out in style at the match.

The £1,000 Mecca Bingo Crossbar Challenge will be held at half time today and at every home match.

This is not a replacement for the Golden Gamble cash prize but a chance for you to win even more or give another ticket purchaser the chance to win £,1000.

Two hits is a challenge, but someone will win, and should my ticket come up I’ll be out there at half time and hopefully going home with three points and a grand in my back pocket.

A reminder to everyone that we play at home again on Tuesday, against Carlisle in the Johnstones Paint Trophy.

Prices are £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s, while under 12s will be admitted free if they are with a paying adult.

A run in the JPT could see us back on TV and back at Wembley, so come along, support the team under floodlights, and get those young Dale fans of the future up to Spotland to watch some real football.
