Knockout success for Halliwell

JOHN Halliwell, won the Rochdale Veterans League knockout for the Jeff Morris Cup, played at Kirkholt BC.
Results on finals day were:
Quarter-finals: E Ashworth 15, F Whittles 11; R Taylor 8, B Oakes 15; PD Knight 15, D Pearson 8; J Bowman 8, J Halliwell 15,
Semi-finals: E Ashworth 15, B Oakes 7; PD Knight 5, J Halliwell 15.
Final: E Ashworth 19, J Halliwell 21.
