Hornets are serviced and ready to go

14/ 2/2006

SERVICE with a smile was the order of the day as Hornets celebrated a link-up with the armed forces.

The club have received warm-up t-shirts from the army, training bibs from the Royal Navy and drinks bottles from the Royal Air Force.

Hornets hope to forge stronger links with the army careers service and, on Sunday 25 June when Hull KR are the visitors to Spotland, the Royal Marine Commandos display team will provide the pre-match entertainment.

Hornets' coach Darren Abram said: "The armed forces are doing this to draw attention to the careers they have on offer.

"They see it as an ideal way of putting their message across."

Hornets have also agreed a deal for training equipment with Sponsorbank.
