Seasonal gift from Hornets

HORNETS handed over a much-needed Christmas present to one of their major sponsors, Raf Arien, for the Rochdale Greenland Orphanage in Kampala, Uganda.
Raf, who set up the orphanage in 2001 with friends Terry Mason and Rochdale MP Paul Rowen, accepted a gift of £4,500 from the Spotland club.
The money, which will feed about 30 children for the next five to six months, was raised at a music night at the Richmond Hall.
More than 200 people attended the fun-filled event, with signed shirts from Andrew Flintoff and Wayne Rooney up for grabs.
