MACCLESFIELD new boy Marcus Richardson has vowed to reward Brian Horton's persistence after the Silkmen boss signed him at the second attempt.
Horton moved for the striker 12 months ago, but Richardson chose to move to Yeovil. But the Macc boss finally got his man last week when the 28-year-old joined from Chester on loan with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.
"It's a great incentive when the manager tries to sign you twice and its up to me to reward the faith he has put in me," said Richardson. "Now I want to stay here next season and be part of Macclesfield's plans."
