HORNETS will hold a fans’ forum at Spotland tomorrow, start 6.45pm.
Fans will have the opportunity to look at ways of moving the club forward, to share ideas of how to generate income in the short term, and to create a co-operative board to complement and enhance the work of the club.
A club spokesman said: "The board is conscious of the concerns expressed by supporters and their wanting to find ways to help the club, as demonstrated by the informal meeting held by some fans prior to last Sunday’s game against Workington.
"The club continues to feel the message board is not an appropriate platform for discussions of this nature and would therefore like to announce a fans’ forum. As you are all aware, the board is a small group of people, all of whom have full time commitments, and they are finding it increasingly difficult to manage the workload. The club needs help, and one way of doing this is to form a co-operative board to work alongside the existing board. Any fan who is willing to attend a regular meeting, come up with ideas, and help out in some capacity can become a member. There will be no financial commitment. Come along to the fans’ forum with your ideas and your support, the club needs you. We look forward to seeing you there."
