IN awful conditions Rochdale came away from Dagenham with their first draw of 2008.
An extremely heavy hail storm arrived right on the first whistle and made life difficult for the visitors as they came under early pressure.

Against the run of play though they took the lead on 28 minutes when teenager Kallum Higginbotham collected a long clearance and smashed it into the roof of the net.
Five minutes later the home side drew level when leading scorer Ben Strevens scored with a powerful angled drive from 15 yards.
The introduction of sub Adam Le Fondre and Chris Dagnall brought Dale to life in the second half and they should perhaps have won but for misses from Higginbotham and Dagnall.
