ROCHDALE'S dramatic slump in League Two continued as Hereford ran away with the points at Spotland.
Dale slipped to a third successive defeat and were well beaten by a Hereford side who look destined for automatic promotion.
Keith Hill's side got off to the best possible start when Simon Ramsden headed them into a seventh minute lead.
But a series of defensive errors presented Hereford's on-loan striker Serjill Macdonald with a hat-trick which he completed in 17 minutes.
The visitors added a fourth goal after 71 minutes through Gary Hooper as Hereford underlined their superiority.
And Rene Howe's last minute header for the home side was little more than consolation for Rochdale's fans.
