Symes is the man for Norden

NORDEN have announced the name of their new professional.
Jean Symes, 21, is the player chosen to follow in the footsteps of Asif Mujtaba who was professional with the club for 11 consecutive seasons.
He is a left-handed batsman and slow left-arm orthodox bowler.
Symes has played for South Africa under 19s and is in the Gauteng squad.
He has also played for a South African composite team against Zimbabwe.
He made his debut for Gauteng, against Easterns, at Johannesburg in 2005 and has now played 16 first-class matches with a batting average of 49.95 and 11 List A matches with a batting average of 42.90.
His highest first-class score is 193 which came against Free State in October 2006.
Bowling-wise he has taken 21 first-class wickets at an average of 38.14, and 14 List A wickets at an average of 20.92.
NORDEN amateur Simon Egerton switched codes when he was in the England squad for an indoor hockey tournament against Scotland just before Christmas. The series was drawn. Egerton plays his club hockey with Bowdon.
