Chris Dagnall will have surgery on his injured knee and is unlikely to play again for Dale this season.The Rochdale forward, injured in last weekend’s match against Macclesfield, saw a specialist on Thursday and was told he has damaged his anterior cruciate ligament. It is a similar injury to the one suffered by England striker Michael Owen at the 2006 World Cup finals.
