Three hurt in crash

THREE people were rushed to hospital after a crash in Littleborough.

The accident in Todmorden Road involved a Mini which which was in collision with a Ford Galaxy travelling in the opposite direction, near to Calderbrook Road.

The Mini driver, a 30-year-old Milnrow woman suffered a minor head injury and whiplash, while her passenger, a 31-year-old man also of Milnrow, was treated for fractures to his right arm and lower back, as well as suspected internal injuries.

The other driver, a woman from Holmfirth, aged 44, is being treated at Rochdale Infirmary for a fractured collarbone and whiplash.

The smash, which happened at about 4.35pm on Monday, forced police to close part of the road for about four hours.

They are appealing for any witnesses to call 0161 856 8473.
