STAYING

Paediatrics and assessment and observation (children needing more than four hours' assessment will be transferred to another hospital)

Anaesthetics (planned day case and inpatients surgery); audiology

Breast surgery (outpatients and day case)

Cardio respiratory

Elective cardiology (Rochdale to get centre of excellence for elective cardiology, diagnostic angiography and some implants); cardiothoracic surgery (outpatients); chiropody/podiatry; child and adolescent mental health services; clinical genetics

Planned surgery, day case and outpatient service for colorectal and lower gastrointestinal patients

Dental (outpatients and orthodontics); dermatology (outpatients); diagnostic imaging (X-ray, MRI, Cat scanning, ultrasound); diabetes/endocrinology; dietetics.

Endoscopy; ear, nose and throat (outpatient and day case surgery where appropriate)

Gastroenterology (day case, outpatients)

General acute medicine (selected patients, outpatients, planned investigations/treatment); general surgery (only proceedures that would not need access to critical care or high dependency facilities, day case, outpatients); gynaecology (day case, outpatients, early pregnancy)

Haematology (minor treatments, day case, anti-coagulation); HIV/infectious diseases (HIV outpatient clinics)

Neurology (outpatients); neurological rehabilitation (services provided at the Floyd Unit, Birch Hill Hospital)

Obstetrics and maternity (antenatal/postnatal care, ultrasound screening and most diagnostic tests); occupational therapy; oncology (outpatients); opthalmology (day case, outpatients transferred from Birch Hill); oral and maxillofacial (day case, outpatients)

Elective orthopaedics (only planned surgery not requiring access to critical care/high dependency facilities, day case, outpatients); trauma orthopaedics (day case/outpatients); orthoptics; orthotics.

Paediatrics (outpatients); pain management; palliative care; pathology; pharmacy; physiotherapy.

Renal (haemodialysis, outpatients); respiratory (outpatients, day case); rheumatology (inpatients, day case, outpatients)

Speech and language therapy; stroke (outpatients, rehabilitation, diagnostics)

Upper gastro-intestinal and hepato-biliary (day case, outpatients); urology (day case, outpatients)

Vascular surgery (day case, outpatients)

GOING

Urgent accident and emergency care. Rochdale Infirmary's full A&E department will be replaced by an Urgent Care Centre.

Anti-coagulation treatment will be delivered in community settings.
