Man arrested after pub fight death

A 45-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died following a fight outside a pub on Christmas Eve.
Police say the 39-year-old victim was involved in an altercation on Manchester Road, Rochdale, on 24 December.
The man, who hasn't yet been named, was taken to Hope Hospital in Salford but died yesterday (Wednesday).
A post-mortem examination revealed that he died from serious head injuries. Police are appealing for witnesses.

this is another very sad case that got out of hand and has got to stop !
the so called security staff( bouncers) think that they are a law upon themselves, every weekend they pray on victims like packs of animals smaller , weeker and usually drunk ! they treat it like a competition to brag to there fellow bully's how good it is to knock 10 bells out of the public. it is hard for the police as CCTV films disappear, publicans are to scarred to help ! until they do something about these thugs the town will continue to fall.
