Arrest follows shooting

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 59-year-old man was shot in the head in Norden.
Police were called to the scene, close to Over Town Lane, at 2.15pm on Monday.
The victim, who has not been named, was taken to Rochdale Infirmary where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries to his head and later discharged. His injuries are thought to have been caused by pellets.
The suspect, who is 67, remains in police custody and officers leading the investigation say inquiries are continuing.
