Young woman’s body is found inside house

THE BODY of an 18-year-old woman was found at a house in Shawclough on Monday.
The bank holiday calm was shattered when police and ambulance crews were called out to a property on Shawclough Road just before 11.30am.
A neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: "I heard a lot of police cars going past and looked out of the window. There were about three police vans, two police cars and three ambulances parked outside. We were wondering what was happening, but we saw two girls in their late teens crying in the back of a parked car."
Another resident, who also did not want to be identified, said: "We've lived here for two years, it is a nice area and we weren't expecting something like this.
"It is shocking. It makes you feel uneasy and is a bit scary."
There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances and the matter has now been passed to the coroner
