GRACIE Fields... a return to the small screen.
Touch of history puts Gracie back in the limelight

TOUCHSTONES has played a major role in bringing Gracie Fields back onto the small screen.
'Amazing Gracie', a one-hour TV show exploring the life and times of the Rochdale songbird, is being screened on Thursday night.
The documentary, marking the 25th anniversary of her death on 27 September, looks back to her remarkable life and career, her comic genius, phenomenal singing voice and unique persona.
Production company Forget About It Film and TV visited Touchstones to research Gracie's life
It was able to draw on a rich archive which includes photographs, letters, song sheets, every recording that was ever produced and other memorabilia.
It also provided the ideal setting for an interview with Sir Cyril Smith, which will be included in the documentary.
Producer Val Croft said: "The contribution from everyone at Touchstones and the archive was invaluable."
The programme will be shown on BBC4 at 9pm and repeated on Saturday 25 September at 8pm.
