A 44-YEAR-OLD man is in a critical condition after being attacked in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The victim suffered serious head injuries and was taken to the Infirmary.
Police were called to Milkstone Road, Deeplish, following reports of a serious assault at about 1am.
Officers attended and found a 44-year-old man with serious head injuries. As the Observer went to press the man remained in a critical condition.
A 33-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, both from Rochdale, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (section 18 assault) and are being interviewed by officers.

The rise in crime rates have been predicted as part of the current situation the world is in, and must be accepted accordingly.
The reason, I believe, that Rochdale gets more than the average of this type of crime is due to its generousity towards those who are considered disadvantaged.
