what is "Rochdaleman" on about ...so many manager sfor one section? You clearly know nothing about how we work. Let me be clear , we are not overpaid and underworked like many people seem to think. Like everyone else we work hard for our wages (while putting up with these kind of insults from people like you) so please dont be so disresepectful and think we deserve pay cuts. We dont, we deserve paying fairly and we arent. Oh + Merry Christmas to you too.

   The pay and grading review had to come sooner or later and maybe just maybe it's about time.Some people have had pay cuts of five thousand pounds and some have had a pay rise of three thousand! Why does one section of the council need so many managers? Why do these people feel so hard done to when they have a good wage(even with a pay drop),a good clean work environment and a nice pension too? Maybe the department in the wrong here is the one who put them on such good wages in the first place. We should remember who is paying for over paid staff shouldn't we?

   What a happy Xmas Rochdale MBC councillors have given to their staff. Some have pay cuts of 5K per year, some more than that, whilst at the same time the fat cat councillors do very little!

To rub salt in the wound some have even had holidays taken off them too 5 days a year!

It's a well known fact that local government workers get less pay than their private counterparts and yet do just as good a job. This just shows how the local councillors, who I might add get elected but think they own the place, thnk of their staff.

I would urge the staff of Rochdale MBC to find other jobs. Maybe when the council is poorly staffed and the service has gone down hill will the "elected members" realise just what they have done.

This is a disgrace trateting hard working people in tis manner.

People of Rochdale vote with your ballot papers and show your "elected members" what you think of them.

   The pay and grading review has been a total farce from start to finish. The Council has not let the unions get involved with any of the discussions. They are ruining people lives with theses pay cuts, we work hard for the Council and all we get back is this. The Council will loose alot of decent staff to this , staff can not afford to live on the proposed cuts.
