Sisters jump at gift chance

DAREDEVIL sisters are hoping to leap to the aid of our Springhill Hospice campaign fund.

Jacky Swire and Alyson Brassington will be doing a parachute jump at Lancaster in October.

The madcap pair are seasoned fund-raisers and have done a number of events in aid of the hospice.

Jacky, a magistrate who works for the hospice as a retail manager, said she has managed to talk her sister into doing everything from dressing as a pixie to doing a midnight walk.

"She wanted to be in the pub, it was a Saturday night," joked the 36 year-old from Littleborough.

"I managed to talk her into to it," added mum of two Jacky.

They will both jump attached to an instructor.

And although it is something Jacky says she has always wanted to do she is still suffering with nerves.

She added: "It was one of those things I wanted to do and I thought I might never get the opportunity.

"But I’m sure as it gets closer I will be really nervous."
