Little ones going through

THE tension has mounted, the excitement is great – and finally, the first heats of the Rochdale Observer Baby and Toddler of the Year 2008 competition can be announced.

We had to hold a preliminary vote because of all the entries we received this year.

The votes have been counted and there will now be six heats with heat one of the babies first up.

They are: Kayden Clarke, Rochdale; Harley Clegg, Kirkholt; Megan Curtis, Brimrod; McKenzie-Jay Dawick, Wardle; Ellise Greenwood, Marland; Chloe Grimshaw, Belfield; Callum Harrison, Healey; Ella Higgins, Rochdale; Hollie-Mae Jones, Littleborough; Reece Kershaw, Whitworth; Caitlyn Larkin, Wardle; Mason MacLean, Marland; Evie Marinelli, Littleborough; Ruby Marshall, Whitworth; Joseph McBride, Rochdale; Mischa McCrea, Littleborough; Ali Rashid, Rochdale; Imogen Ratcliffe, Littleborough; Brooklyn Rennocks, Smallbridge; Mohammed Safdar, Rochdale; Ellie Schofield, Milnrow; Annalise Southerton-Platt, Littleborough; Liam Stansfield, Kirkholt; Isabelle Topham, Milnrow and Harvey Williams, Rochdale.

Their pictures will feature in next Wednesday’s Observer, along with a voting form for you to decide who goes through to the next round of our competition.

We will hold the next five heats in subsequent editions of the Wednesday Observer.

Here are the toddlers through to the first heat of their competition.

Their pictures will feature in next Saturday’s Observer and, again, you have the chance to vote your favourite through to the next round.

Following editions of Saturday’s Observer will carry the other five heats in the toddler competition.
