Meet Robbie, our new mascot

FORGET Rupert and Paddington, meet Robbie – the Rochdale Observer bear and mascot for the Can You Spare A Minute? appeal.

Robbie has remained under wraps while the appeal got into full swing, but now, with the money starting to mount up, we’ve decided it’s time for him to go public.

Over the course of the campaign we hope to show you pictures of Robbie out and about with his celebrity friends and, with your help, posing in some of his – and your – favourite places.

You can buy your very own Robbie Bear for just £5 from the Springhill Hospice shop, plus the Rochdale Observer offices in Drake Street, Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre (the information kiosk), Castleton and Littleborough health clinics and Milnrow Medical Centre.

All the money raised will be added to the Observer appeal for Springhill Hospice.

As befits his standing, Robbie is a very handsome bear and comes complete with a green and white sash – the colours of Springhill Hospice – with the Rochdale Observer and Springhill Hospice logos.

Only a limited number are available so don’t miss out on having your very own Robbie, not least as a memento of the 25th anniversary of fund-raising for Springhill.
