Copper stolen from house whilst owner slept

THIEVES ripped copper piping from the walls of a house in Midhurst Street, Deeplish, while the occupant, a security guard, slept upstairs.

The theft, which caused extensive flooding to the property, took place between 11.30pm on Wednesday and 10am on Thursday.

A MOBILE phone, handbag and money, valued at £70, were stolen from a house in Brimrod Lane, Brimrod, between 10pm on Wednesday and 5.20am on Thursday.
