Man robbed of winnings

A MAN was robbed after picking up his winnings from a town centre bookmakers.
The 53-year-old was walking through The Butts at about 7.40pm on Sunday when he was approached by two men who hit him over the head with a piece of wood and knocked him to the ground.
They then went through his pockets, stealing £380.
It is thought they may have seen him counting his money as he left the bookies.
Police have described the first attacker as Asian, aged 20 to 24 years old, about 5ft 11ins, with a slim build.
The second offender is described as white, 20 to 24 years old, about 5ft 5ins, of stocky build, with short dark hair, wearing a grey hooded top and blue jeans.
