Company felt time was right to help

A RECYCLING company in Whitworth has shown its support for the Observer Can You Spare A Minute campaign.

Anglo Felt Industries, based in Tong Lane, has given £5 on behalf of each of its employees. With 50 workers on the payroll, that’s another £250 for our Springhill Hospice appeal.

The company has strong links in the Whitworth community and gives out £1,000 a year to local charities.

Commercial director June Lonsdale said: "I read the articles in the Observer each week and thought it would be a good thing to make a donation to this very worthwhile appeal.  I put it to our staff council and they approved my suggestion."

The money we raise will go towards refurbishing one of the three in-patient bays at the hospice.

If all of our readers donate £5 each we will have more than enough to get the work done.
