Man stabbed with razor

A 20-YEAR-OLD man is fighting for his life after he was stabbed with a cut-throat razor at a hospital.

The victim was left with a serious stab wound to his abdomen after the attack at Rochdale Infirmary on Saturday night. His condition was described as stable but serious this morning as he awaited surgery.

Anthony Leach, 30, who was staying at a nearby hostel, was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault a short time after the attack. He was charged, and was expected to appear before magistrates in Rochdale this morning.
