Pair arrested in drug raids

TWO people were arrested and a quantity of drugs seized during a series of raids in Rochdale on Thursday afternoon.

Forty police officers, including a specially-trained drugs dog provided by British Transport Police, targeted three addresses – one in Mitchell Street and two in Milnrow Road.

A 20-year-old and 21-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and were being held in police custody as the Observer went to press.

Constable Ben Harris of Rochdale police said: “This is a significant seizure and has ultimately resulted in preventing the sale and distribution of these drugs on the streets.

“We’d like to reassure the community that we are committed to disrupting drug dealing in our local community and will continue to target drug dealers and career criminals alike.”

He urged the public to report drug dealing to Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

   well done rochdale police,drug dealing recks peoples lives,you have got to rember .that thouse people you see begging pinching, prostution, was normal 1 day.and it could be your child.you see go through that life ,say no
