Perhaps Cllr Brett could have a good moan about MPs failing to turn up to Anti-Crime meetings, where they could all hear about the good example set by a certain council leader who was convicted for an assault in the streets of Milnrow in broad daylight?

The man is a total opportunist. How many Labour voters would think or dream about voting Labour if they knew it would mean putting a Tory in charge of Rochdale's finance? (oh yes, and give Allan Brett a cabinet salary and the power which has eluded him in 30 years in local politics)

councillor Brett and his party have no right to call any one for the money they get paid labour double crossed their electors by joining the conservatives to take control of rochdale council and so get the well paid cabinet posts
