Closure shatters wedding plans

Faye Adams

FIFTY couples have had their dreams of a perfect wedding ruined by the closure of the Broadfield Hotel.

Administrators were appointed three weeks ago in a bid to save the business, but owner Andrew Kusytsch told them on Tuesday he could no longer continue.

One couple learned this week they had lost £3,000, and another pair £1,100.

Maybe the clairvoyant could of saved all this heartache and told the owners this was going to happen, then it could of been prevented. If he is any good that is?

has anyone told the clairvoyant advertising in weds Obby that he won't need to turn up at the Broadfield on Oct 8th (doors open 7-30!!)..but surely being a clairvoyant wouldn't they have foreseen that!!! unless of course he knows something we or the owners don't know!!!

It's a sad day for the customers and staff. Another rochdale institution bites the dust. It just shows how poor the town really is when a relatively small business hotel cannot survive.

I am appalled by how these couples have been left. I am a wedding and event planner, and if any couples would like me to take the stress out of finding a new venue for them, I am willing to do this free of charge. My contact details are 07789 713 687 or by email at gbuckley@pinkorchidevents.co.uk. Thanks Gillian

And the moral is....Pay by credit card and you'll probably get your money back. Pay cash or debit card it is more than likely gone for ever! Tip: Never pay cash in a situation like this, instead pay it into your credit card account, which will up your credit limit and use the card. You will then probably be insured against such losses.
