Cars are latest target of scrap metal thieves

CARS with only a limited second-hand value are proving highly profitable for thieves.

Nissan Micras that were made between 1993 and 1997 are being stolen in Rochdale for their catalytic converters, which are fetching £150 a time at scrap metal merchants.

    HAVENT THESE PEOPLE GOT ANYTHING ELSE TO DO, NOT ONLY ARE THEY RISKING THERE LIVES BUT LIVES OF OTHERS. ALSO DEXINES ON SPOTLAND ROAD ARE ALSO UNDER ATTACK FROM MINDLESS THIEVES WHO ARE GETTING IN AND STEALING COPPER,SMASHING WINDOWS WHICH HAS RESULTED IN KIDS GETTING HURT MY SON BEING ONE OF THEM. PLEASE DO SOMETHING BEFORE WE ARE FORCED TO EVACUATE OUR HOMES DUE TO IT GETTING SET ALIGHT.
