Sophie gang in bid for cut in sentences

22/ 8/2008

THE murderers of Sophie Lancaster have been granted leave to appeal their sentences.

In a cruel twist of fate, Sophie’s mum was given the news last Monday – the one-year anniversary of the attack that led to her daughter’s death.

(The right to appeal) What a joke. Sophie appealed to these murderers, And their answer was NO. I would say NO NO NO to their appeal. They should throw the keys away and let them rot. Justice should be the priory of the courts, If there is any that is. Sophie appealed for her life and was murdered. The answer is simple.

Let us all hope that the appeal judge agrees that the sentence was wrong - and increases it.

They commited an atrocious crime, and showed no remorse for it, I honestly think it's disgusting that they're now whinging that their punishment was too harsh. I Don't feel sorry for them at all, and hope that they end up with longer sentences on appeal.

It is to no surprise that the so called justice system backs the criminal yet again. WHY is it that once you are sentenced you are able to appeal it!!! You should do your time (not that the sentences give to these low life scum is even enough). THEN if you served your time well you get out if not add more time to the sentence!!! These dregs of society should be hanged for there crime. Scum breeds scum so until they build more prisons and totally change the laws for crime of ANY level the decent people of England will always suffer.

Well its good to see that yet again my taxes are going to defend this Scum. Sure if you want to appeal against a sentance you should have the opportunity IF you pay for it yourself, otherwise you have no right to do so. (If you commit ANY offence then you should loose all your human rights in my opinion). And if I remember correctly this SCUM never admitted to this girls murder, hence it went to court, they were convicted, the jury found them guilty of their crimes and the judge sent them to prison. What is there to appeal about? - they feel they were badly done to??!!! What about the poor girl that was murdered and her boyfriend who was nearly killed. GOVERNMENT. MP's WAKE UP!! TIME TO DEFEND THE VICTIMS AND THE LAW ABIDING CITIZENS NOT THE SCUM!

why should these be granted leave to appeal? They should have thought about the consiquences before they decided to attack a innocent couple minding their own business...Do the crime ...Do the time, and personally 50 years each wouldnt have been enough for these 2 yobs!

Pity the court can't double the sentences and keep this sub-human lowlife off the streets longer.
