12 hours of boozing - then this vile attack

1/ 8/2008

A TEENAGE girl joined in a vicious gang attack on an innocent stranger in the town centre – then rifled his pockets as he lay unconscious.

Gemma Stafford, aged 18, of Hilltop Drive, Kirkholt, and four other thugs are now beginning prison sentences totalling 15 years for their parts in a sickening assault, which was caught on CCTV. Amazingly, the 27-year-old victim, despite having been repeatedly kicked and punched about the body and head, suffered no major injuries.

This is disgusting, i've just moved out of Rochdale after living there all my life because of the trouble teenagers were causing in the area, which was supposedly a 'nice & quiet' part of Rochdale, ending with an armed robbery in the shop across the road from my house and a stabbing just up the road! All done by under 20's!!

More for beating someone and less for fraud is a joke.

The Darwins six years , a peodophile gang called the wonderland didn't get that between them for abusing babies. Seven British men, who peddled child pornography on the internet, were jailed for between 12 and 30 months each on Tuesday. (BBC)

So basically you can ruin kids lives, kick someone half to death, but God forbid you steal money.

Wake up call.!!! I don't give two hoots about an insurance company being robbed i am more interested in my life being protected and innocent children.Thank You Nu labour...

What these thugs have done to the victim is extremely shocking. Somebody should do the same to them. And the 17 year old thug should be named and shamed...why is he being protected? The justice system is ridiculous in this country!!!

I am sick to death of seeing and reading about these vicious gang attacks on innocent people. When is this Government and the judicial system going to get some backbone and act on this sickening culture. Its time we came down hard crime and the criminals who inflict violence (even those of a young age who are also capable of committing vicious crimes). Criminals don't suffer because those in authority are afraid of not being P.C. or afraid of breaching their Human Rights, well what about the rights of the victims and their families.

they should put all of them in stocks outside the town hall every day for a month.

Then let the public let them know exactly how we feel about scum like them.

THAT may make them think before they do anything like this again.

Another story that underlines our lack of Justice...

If people want to behave like animals, then they should be treated like animals.

What punishment would a dog get for savaging someone like this?

4 years... Just enough time to do their NVQ in GBH and Hotwiring, then out onto the social and back into circulation.

And people wonder why the town is down the pan...

John and Anne Darwin nicked cash from an insurance company and get six years, no harm to society , they should have been given community sentances and made to pay the money back.

These four kick a man half to death and get sentances that ammounts a slap on the wrist.

Shows you that money is more important than lives.

It's a fact that members of the public can lobby the CPS to appeal the case for a longer sentence, and they would welcome this I'm sure. If there was a a case that merits an extended sentence then this is it!

It's a wonder that poor man wasn't killed. Those thugs should have been locked up for at least twenty years each. Absolutely sickening.

This man could have died. The sentences dealt out to these thugs are way too lenient.
