Prescott takes a break to cast an eye over ‘vigorous’ town

Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott took a break from filming his new BBC2 documentary to find out about Rochdale.

Mr Prescott’s current documentary focuses on the British class system and he will be taking to the streets of the town to find out the dreams and aspirations of local people.

   Ex-pat, u have obviously left the area and still seem intent on making negative comments at every turn! Any half intelligent person can deduce that a pay rise of merely 2.45% is, in effect, a pay cut for council employees in relation to inflation.

   I think if John Prescott had gone to the council workers picket lines as Paul Rowen suggest he would have reminded the strikers that they work for the towns biggest employer, financed though citizens under a threat of imprinsonment and enjoy and average of 12 weeks off a year (including sickies). Better he goes to Falinge
