Emma set to bid farewell to Corrie

LITTLEBOROUGH-based actress Emma Edmondson is one of seven Coronation Street stars to be axed from the soap series.

Mel – as she’s known to viewers – will trip down the famous cobbles for the last time in the autumn, along with the rest of her on-screen family.

   Soon there will be many other people from Rochdale who will be making a name for themselves. All we had for years was "Gracie Fields" She did leave memories. Good luck to all the Rochdale girls who are working so hard. I hope I can catch you on T.V the times I come over to Rochdale.
