There’ll be feast of fun fit for a saint.

PATRIOTIC Rochdalians will celebrate St George’s Day today with a host of events across the town.

Although no official parades have been organised, the Union Jack is flying high outside the Town Hall and the feast day of England’s patron saint will be marked in style by a number of businesses.

i did not see if a Union Jack was flying above the town hall and why should it be on St George's Day? Though if the picture in the Observer is of the flag mentioned in the artical, then the reporter is seriously confused!! The flag of St George it most definitely is!!!!

Whay is the Ubion flag raised outside the town hall? This is St. Georges day. He is the patron saint of England! (So why raise a 4 nation flag?) I think in Tbilisi (capital of Georgia, who share the same patron saint) they will be proudly raising their national flag of St. George and not that of the Soviet Union!
